The pioneers were not so sensitive about road names and would usually name them after something that happened there - for example, Grizzly Peak was named after a creature that mauled an unfortunate person and Bear Creek is where bears were seen. A Glendale man who died in a place crash in western Klamath County last Sunday was an actor and entertainer with several movies to his credit. Juan Canopii, 54, and his wife, Chantal Canopii, 60, died in the crash as the plane was on its way from Klamath Falls to Medford on the morning of Oct. 1.
